Outstanding Features:
Rich maroon-red leaf color is retained throughout
the summer. Dense foliage turns deeper red in autumn.
Requirements and
Culture:
Full sun to part shade.
Will withstand clay, acid and sandy conditions. Holds up
in hot dry conditions better than most maples. It is a surface-rooting
tree which will limit turf beneath. It should be given room to grow and
kept a fair distance from sidewalks, driveways and streets.
