Outstanding Features:
This is a slow growing relative of the Sugar Maple that is smaller in stature and leaf size. Its shapely, delicate looking leaves are an attractive dark green color in the spring and summer, and turn an intense bright red with orange tones in the fall. Nice front yard tree.

Requirements and Culture:
Prefers moist, nutrient-rich soils. Can tolerate most types of soils as long as they are well-drained.
